CS East Wales

  Christian Surfers East Wales is currently the largest CS group

  along the Welsh coastline, and has been running now for

  several years. Based in Cardiff, the group is led by Phil and Jo

  Johnson who attend Bethel Baptist Church, Whitchurch.

  Members live in and around the Cardiff area, through the South

  Wales Valleys and down to Porthcawl. Many different churches

  in the area are represented through the group including

  Glenwood, Bethel Baptist, and Cardiff Vineyard.

  Some members are born and bred in Wales, and others we

  have imported from South Africa! We also have several students

  at the University who join us through term time and some non-

  surfers who support their partners and the CS ministry - we

  even have some great little groms who come and join the fun!

  Whatever your level of surfing ability you are most welcome.

  We tend to meet up regularly on the first Saturday of every month

  for surfing and socialising (or socialising and socialising

  depending on the waves!). Outside of this we've recently started

  meeting together on a wednesday evening every three weeks

  for a bible study and worship session. Other social and CS

  based events include the CS Wales annual conference and CS

  UK conference; supporting local and national surf competitions

  through serving tea and coffee and helping with the

  organisation of the events; and the annual Tsunami Surf Cup

  held at Rest Bay.
